Christmas

I have always loved Christmas. The season. The gathering. The element of surprise. All the little things. The traditions. Just the way it makes me feel in general. Warm and fuzzy. As a child it was such a magical time. But having kids of my own, it’s even more magical now. Seeing their excitement and wonder. Doing little crafts that, let’s face it, most of the time we don’t slow down to do any other time. It is a time that you can slow down and spend time with family and friends. The lights, the sounds, the smells. There is a beauty in this time of year. A time of year that we count our blessings. A time that we give, just to see the smile on the other person’s face. A time where it seems things actually do work out. A time to reflect. I can only hope that my children look back on their Christmas’s growing up and remember the magic and the warm and fuzzy feelings of being together.

I hope each and everyone of you have a Merry Christmas, even though this year it may look different. I hope it’s filled with smiles, love and laughter. I hope it’s filled with HEART.

Merry Christmas from Brooke at Heart in the Bones
